Question:
I just can't seem to get down six meals a day. Is it really
that important? Will two or three do the same job if I control
the number of calories I eat?
Answer:
It can definately be a challenge to go from eating three meals
to six meals per day. Eating every 2-3 hours will speed up
your metabolism so you will have a more efficient system of
turning calories into energy. You will not only burn more
calories during exercise, but also at rest. You will also
find that eating smaller portions gives you more energy and
less cravings throughout the day.
We recommend
starting with three meals and three snacks. It takes planning,
but it's well worth the effort. We highly recommend that you
carry a small cooler with you. That way you can take fruit,
ready made salads, cut up veggies, chicken or fish and water
with you where ever you go. When you are on the run and don't
have time to eat, you could choose to eat a pre-made protein
shake or bar like EAS. Don't forget to read the lables, and
stay far away from products that contain partially hydrogenated
vegetable oils. Real food is always the healthiest choice,
so packing a lunch before you leave the house is the first
line of defense. If you don't have the time or interest in
putting a cooler together, ask us about our "Wellness
Kit."
