Hey meat lovers, don’t let this Vegan friendly pizza scare you away. Soyriso is designed to taste like the flavorful Mexican sausage Chorizo. Instead of using the traditional salivary glands, lymph nodes and fat, Soyrizo is made with healthy soy ingredients that are cholesterol and nitrate free. You won’t believe how good it tastes until you try it. We suggest you purchase a few packages, because once you taste this spicy pizza you are going to want to add Soyrizo to your chilli, casseroles and eggs.
Ingredients:
- 6 whole wheat pitas
- 1-12 oz package of Soyrizo
- 1-26 oz jar of Classico Tomato and Basil Spaghetti Sauce
- 1- 7 oz package of Veggie Shreds Mozzarella Flavor
- 1 sweet bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium sized zucchini, cut in quarters then sliced
- 1 large tomato, diced
Method:
Preheat over to 400 degrees.Remove Soyrizo from casing – pan fry over medium heat until brown on both sides – approximately 5 minutes. (See package directions). Place pita’s top side down on a few cookie sheets. (Line them first with aluminum foil for easy clean up). Spread about two tablespoons of sauce over each pita. Sprinkle the package of Veggie Shreds over the sauce – divide evenly between the 6 pitas. Divide the Soyrizo into six equal portions, spread each portion on the pita’s. Do the same with the remaining veggies.Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes depending on desired level of crust crispness.
